This is a standard fabric for the garment industry, used for blouses, lingerie, and scarves. The fabric is medium lightweight (12.5 mm). Shiny satin on one side and matte crepe on the other. Woven from conventionally raised silk that has been reeled from the cocoon -- only reeled silk can make this lustrous satin.

A medium weight of 16 momme satin is wonderful and the fabric is thick enough to be opaque even in undyed white.

Shimmery soft, drapey and substantial 19mm - medium heavy weight. This is the favorite weight for long gowns - the drape and swirl as one walks and moves is breathtaking. And it feels so good!

Alternate care: Hand wash and iron on wrong side. Or Dry Clean.
